03/02/2025 03:45:03 PMThe SUNY Downstate Department of Surgery extends its highest congratulations to Dr. Sherene Sharath, Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Health Services Research, for her one-million-dollar grant award from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The grant will support the study of the Long-Term Systemic Effects of Anemia in High-Risk Postoperative Patients (LEAP). Dr. Sharath will lead the project in partnership with co-Principal Investigator Dr. Panos Kougias.
