SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University
Biotech Grows in Brooklyn
Our goal is to establish Brooklyn as a center for biotech research and development. Downstate’s Biotechnology Park consists of a Biotechnology Incubator and Tech @ 710, a commercial synthetic chemistry facility. Both facilities offer wet laboratory and office space for start-ups and early-stage biotech companies.
For more mature companies that require larger space, BioBAT at the Brooklyn Army Terminal offers ample room for companies to expand their research and begin manufacturing.
Companies at all three sites have access to our Entrepreneurship Program and Downstate’ s resources. These include research core facilities, seminars, collaborations with scientists, medical/scientific library, students for internships, and clinical trials.
We welcome the opportunity to help you meet your biotech space needs.
