Information for Transplant Recipients

Dental Care

You should see your dentist regularly (at least every six months) and maintain good oral hygiene. Brush and clean your teeth and gums at least twice daily to prevent complications. If you require major dental work or oral surgery please contact the Transplant Coordinator prior to the procedure. You must take an antibiotic before having any dental work done in order to prevent infection.
