Ms. Robinson has over 10 years experience in the provision of services to patients with psychiatric, substance and alcohol problems. She holds a NYS license in mental health counseling and is a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) as well as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS) and Reiki Master. Ms. Robinson joined the SHC in 2002 as a substance use counselor and, in 2007, assumed the position of Case Management Supervisor. Prior to joining SUNY-DMC, she worked at the Methadone Clinic of Albert Einstein Hospital. Ms. Robinson is bilingual English/Spanish. Elsie Chery, LMSWMs. Chery, coordinator for the SHC’s family centered case management project, has provided professional social work services for over ten years. Prior to joining the SHC, Ms. Chery was responsible for assisting patients with HIV and substance abuse issues to access or remain connected to ongoing medical care at Harlem Hospital. Ms. Chery has also worked with the New York City Correctional System and the with the Office of Domestic Violence. She is fluent in English/French/Haitian Creole. Marie Martial, BSW
Ms. Martial has provided case management services to people with HIV since 1995. She joined the SHC in 2001 where she has provided specialized education and counseling to people co-infected with HIV and hepatitis C. Prior to her tenure with the SHC, Ms. Martial provided case management services to children and their families through the Brooklyn Pediatric AIDS Network. Ms. Martial holds a bachelor's degree in social work and will complete her master's degree from Hunter University School of Social Work in 2010. She is fluent in English/French/Haitian Creole. Debra Toyloy, BA
Ms. Toyloy has provided case management and counseling services to patients and families for over 20 years. Ms Toyloy joined SHC in 1997 as a case manager assisting patients in obtaining entitlements and benefits. She also participates in SHC outreach and health fairs. Prior to joining SHC Ms. Toyloy worked as HIV case manager at South Brooklyn Health Center. Harry Johnson, BS
Mr. Johnson joined the SHC in 2008, bringing experience as a case manager working with individuals with medical, mental health, substance abuse, and domestic violence issues. Harry is a graduate of New York City College of Technology/CUNY with a Bachelor Degree in Human Services. Harry is currently pursuing his MSW at Hunter College School of Social Work. Harry most recently worked at Village Care of New York/Rivington House Skill Nursing Home as a Case Manager.
