State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA)
What is SEFA?
SEFA is the State Employees Federated Appeal. As men and women who work for - and care about - our State, we see people in need every day. The problems sometimes seem so big, we wonder if there is anything we as individuals can do to solve them.
The State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) - the only authorized charitable giving campaign for New York State employees in the workplace - makes it possible for us to help through a single pledge, easily paid through payroll deduction. In addition, you have the chance to direct your pledge to a specific charity of YOUR CHOICE, from among the more than 800 participating agencies.
SEFA supports nonprofit health and human service organizations helping thousands of New Yorkers every day. Health care, elderly assistance, job training and retraining, youth recreation - these are just a few of the vital services supported by contributions State employees make through SEFA.
