The State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) offers the SUNY workforce an easy-to-use vehicle through which they can contribute to charitable causes in their own communities or to organizations that are statewide, national, or international in scope." "...SEFA is the only State authorized activity of its kind and ...it has the full support of Governor Paterson." "It is important to note that each not-for-profit organization listed in SEFA's directory actually receives a greater percentage of an individual's donation through SEFA than if the organization was to receive the donation directly or via its other recruiting offers because of the ability to bypass/filter/remove some of the administrative costs."
