About:

Dr. Daniel Zinn is a board-certified radiologist specializing in ultrasound. After receiving his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, Dr. Zinn completed an internship and radiology residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and a fellowship in Body Imaging at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY. Following his fellowship, Dr. Zinn came to the Department of Radiology in 1988 where he has worked primarily in Body Imaging, specializing in ultrasound. Dr. Zinn currently holds an appointment as assistant professor of Radiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and is on staff at State University Hospital and Kings County Medical Center. Dr. Zinn has been section leader of the ultrasound section since 1998.

In his capacity as section leader, Dr. Zinn supervises and trains radiology residents, ultrasound technologists and students in the ultrasound technology school. He lectures on ultrasound to the radiology residents and ultrasound technology students and participates in the radiology department’s Grand Rounds at Downstate Medical Center. He has lectured at national ultrasound meetings and received the department’s Teacher of the Year award in 2003.
