About:

Dr. Vivek Mathur is an Interventional Radiologist. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He then attended the Medical College of Virginia for medical school and completed a diagnostic radiology residency at the George Washington University. He remained at GW for his fellowship in Interventional Radiology after which he joined the faculty of SUNY Downstate as an Assistant Professor. He works closely with the direct pathway fellowship program and has a strong interest in training the next generation of interventionalists. His interests include peripheral vascular disease, minimally invasive women's interventions, and interventional oncology. He lives in lower Manhattan with his wife who is a Gastroenterologist.
