Woo Choi, M.D. Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology |
Dr. Woo Sung Choi is a board certified radiologist specializing in abdominal and pelvic imaging. He grew up in New York City and graduated from Stuyvesant High School. He received his undergraduate education and bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He came back to New York and attended SUNY Downstate College of Medicine where he obtained his medical degree.
Dr. Choi’s residency in Diagnostic Radiology took place at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center in Manhattan. He obtained his fellowship training in body imaging at New York Presbyterian Hospital /Weill Cornell Medical Center. He held a faculty appointment as Instructor in Radiology at the Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and as assistant attending radiologist at the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Choi currently holds a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor in Radiology at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He is an attending radiologist at both the SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Kings County Hospital Center. He is actively involved in teaching both residents and medical students. His area of clinical expertise is in abdominal CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
