University Physicians of Brooklyn, Inc., represents the faculty of SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn's only academic medical center. UPB is comprised of 18 clinical departments, encompassing numerous specialties and subspecialties. Many of our doctors have been nationally recognized by Castle Connolly Top Doctors and Best Doctors in America^®.

In addition to providing world class medical care, our physicians actively participate in the latest research efforts that contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology and techniques in medicine.

Academics is also a key element of our mission, and we dedicate ourselves to educating the finest medical clinicians of tomorrow. SUNY Downstate ranks eighth nationally in the number of alumni who are on the faculties of American medical schools. More physicians practicing in New York City have graduated from SUNY Downstate than from any other medical school.

Maggie Dixon Classic - Heart Health Expo
