Resident Commentary & Insights About Our Program

"I really like SUNY Downstate Medical Center. One of the greatest things that differentiate your program from other programs is the experience that residents get here. Residents rotate in three different facilities. They rotate in SUNY Downstate (State owned Hospital), King's county Hospital (City owned Hospital) and  VA Hospital (federal owned hospital). Exposure to exciting mixture of case material from all these three teaching facilities will definitely train me to be competent practitioner of Anatomical and Clinical Pathology.

SUNY Downstate is the perfect training program for me. I would love to be part of it not only as a resident but also as a faculty member later. Most certainly it will be very very high on my rank order list. I hope residency selection committee consider placing me high enough on its list to have me matched at this wonderful institution.

Enthusiatically looking forward to an awesome training and teaching experience." (from an incoming resident 2013)
