Dr. Vastola, Clinical Assistant Professor, received his Otolaryngologytraining at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He received his fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Baylor University School of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. His clinical interests include pediatric airway reconstruction, pediatric sinonasal disease and cleft lip and palate surgery. He currently is the Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Maimonides Medical Center where he also serves as the Co-Director of the Cleft Lip and Palate Service. Dr Vastola has collaborated with the pediatric pulmonary service and published work related to airway manifestations of gastroesophageal reflux and is currently working with the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to develop guidelines for assessing the pediatric airway in patients with craniofacial syndromes.
