Vladimir Santos, MD

Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Santos is a graduate of the Otolaryngology Residency Program at the Long Island College Hospital. In addition, he spent a year of Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at the University Hospital and Affiliated Hospitals of the Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Santos, who is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, joined the Otolaryngology staff in July 1975 and was Acting Director of the department from 1982 to 1985. He is also currently the Otolaryngology Section Chief at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center where he is mostly responsible for the residents' training and their supervision in the operating room and the outpatient clinics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the Society of University Otolaryngologists, the New York Head and Neck Society, the New York State Medical Society and the Medical Society of the County of Kings. He is a consultant otolaryngologist for the New York City Fire Department and at the Cobble Hill Nursing Home where he is in charge of the Dysphagia and Safety of Oral Feeding Program.
