Professor and Chairman of Otolaryngology at SUNY Downstate, Chairman of Otolaryngology at Long Island College Hospital, and editor-in-chief of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Rosenfeld is a graduate of the Otolaryngology Residency Program at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He completed a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital with a Master’s Degree in Public Health. Dr. Rosenfeld received the SENTAC Robert Ruben Award for Excellence in Pediatric Otolaryngology (2002), AAO-HNS Distinguished Service Award (2001 and 2008), and AAO-HNS Honor Award (1995). He was a guest examiner for the ABO and has chaired numerous national committees that include the ASPO Development Committee, ASPO Finance Committee, AAO-HNS Centralized Otolaryngology Research Effort (CORE), and the AAO-HNS Guideline Development Task force.
Dr. Rosenfeld is the author, coauthor, or editor of 5 books and over 200 scientific publications and textbook chapters, including chapters in “Bailey” and “Cummings” on understanding data and medical literature. He has given over 450 scientific presentations and is recognized as an international authority on guideline development, evidence-based medicine, and managing middle ear problems. Dr. Rosenfeld serves on the Board of Directors for the AAO-HNS and the Auditory-Oral School of Brooklyn. He has been listed in the “Best Doctors in America” and in New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors in New York” since 1996.
