Dr. de Vries attended medical school at Temple University and then trained in otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh. He subsequently completed a Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati under the direction of Dr. Jack Gluckman. Dr. de Vries has spent the last 17 years in both academic and private practice settings and will be charged with developing the head and neck surgery section of the UHB Comprehensive Cancer Center. His experience and primary interest is in head and neck surgery, including treatment of head and neck cancer, thyroid and parathyroid disease, salivary gland tumors and skull base tumors. Dr. de Vries also has experience in treating a wide variety of upper airway diseases in both adult and pediatric patients.
