The Stanley S. Lamm Institute, a part of Long Island College Hospital, treats cerebral palsy and Cooley's anemia patients. The Lamm Institute was established in the 1950's by Dr. Stanley S. Lamm for the comprehensive care of the developmentally disabled. Multi-disciplinary care is provided, including pediatric neurology, orthopedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery and speech pathology. An otolaryngology clinic was established at the Lamm Institute in April of 1992, and sessions for adult and pediatric populations convene there weekly.
