Prior to joining Downstate, Dr. Saha was Professor of Biomaterials in the Biomedical Materials Engineering Program at Alfred University. Previously, he has been a faculty member at Yale University, Louisiana State University Medical Center, Loma Linda University, and Clemson University. Dr. Saha received a B.S. in civil engineering from Calcutta University in 1963, an M.S. in engineering mechanics in 1969 from Tennessee Technological University, and a Ph.D. in applied mechanics from Stanford University in 1973. Dr. Saha is the conference chair for the Fifth International Conference On Ethical Issues In Biomedical Engineering being sponsored by SUNY Downstate Medical Center and the Polytechnic Institute of NYU.
