Background and Expertise:

Dr. Rizzuti is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, cornea/external disease and cataract surgery. She is actively involved in the clinical and surgical training of the residents at Kings County Hospital Center and SUNY Downstate. Dr. Rizzuti is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Cornea Society, and was elected for the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society in 2014.

Research Interests

Dr. Rizzuti's clinical research currently focuses on the medical and surgical management of corneal and external disease, and on advances in cataract surgical technique. She is the author of numerous peer reviewed publications and textbook chapters, and her research has been presented at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology annual meeting in 2012 and 2015.
