Applicant Requirements
Degree Program
For those applying to the Degree Programs in Epidemiology or Biomedical Sciences, you must have a/an:
- BA, BS, MS, MPH, MD, or PhD from a college or university of recognized standing
- Concentration or major in the biological, medical, social, or computer sciences
- The equivalent of at least a B average in your scholastic record
- Documentation of successfully taking the TOEFL and GRE
- Fluency in the English language as determined by an individual interview
For those applying to the Epidemiology/Biostatistics Certificate Program, you must have a/an:
- BA, BS, MS, MPH, MD, or PhD from a college or university of recognized standingConcentration or major in the biological, medical, social, or computer sciences
- Equivalent of at least a B average in your scholastic record
- Record of successful TOEFL and GRE exams and fluency in English as determined by an individual interview
For those applying to the Collaborative PhD program or to the Collaborative MPH program, you must currently be enrolled and in good academic standing at a partner program. In addition, you must have a/an:
- Equivalent of at least a B average in your scholastic record
- Fluency in the English language as determined by an individual interview
Advanced Laboratory Training Program
For those applying to the Advanced Laboratory-Based Programs, you must have a/an:
- MS, MD, PhD, or equivalent degree from a college or university of recognized standing
- Minimum of 2 years relevant laboratory experience
- Record of successful TOEFL exam
- Fluency in the English language as determined by an individual interview
Substance Use Prevention Research Program
For those applying to the Substance Use Prevention Research Program, you must have a/an:
- MS, MPH, MD, or PhD degree from a college or university of recognized standing
- Background in substace use research (history of publication and/or reserach greatn work helpful)
- Close affiliation with or are employed by an academic medical institution, university, school of public health, or NGO that conducts substance use research, particularly as it relates to HIV prevention or treatment
- Fluency in the English language as determined by an individual interview
