Morning report
Residents on service attend morning report daily at the University Hospital of Brooklyn with Chairman Daniel M. Rosenbaum, MD. and at Kings County Hospital Center with Residency Director and Chief of Service, Helen Valsamis, MD. and the Attending physician on service.
Introductory Lectures
Given in July and August, these constitute an introduction to neurologic emergencies. Concurrently, residents attend an introduction to neuroradiology.
Academic Conferences
Held from September through June, these conferences provide the academic framework for the education in neurology. Conferences include: basic science, case conference, clinical neurology, clinical practice issues, director's rounds, EEG, epilepsy, grand rounds, interventional neuroradiology, journal club, movement disorders, neuromuscular, neuropathology, neuroradiology, neurovascular, resident second and third year presentations, and stroke.
