Business Reply Mail (BRM)

permit is used when you wish to provide pre-addressed postage paid reply cards or envelopes in your mailing. BRM allows the permit holder to receive First-Class mail processing back from addressee. In this way, you pay only the postage on the mail that is returned by the addressee through the USPS. When designing a BRM mail piece or label, user departments must consult with the Mail Services department. The piece must conform to a specific format to qualify as BRM including a unique ZIP+4 code assigned by the USPS.

NOTE: Mail Services CANNOT affix first class postage to reply envelopes; This violates USPS regulations. You need to provide sufficient time to pre-print Business Reply envelopes with the appropriate USPS indicia requirements
