Education:
Dr. Wallace obtained her BA in Psychology from Yale University in 1996 and her PhD in Developmental Psychology from Fordham University in 2002.

Postdoctoral Training:
Dr. Wallace completed a post doctoral research fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention.


Research Participation:
Dr. Wallace’s research focuses on addressing health disparities, including developing HIV preventive interventions for Black youth.

Current Research Support:
Principal Investigator:
CHAT Room Project (Cultural influences to prevention HIV/AIDS among Teens): The purpose of the study is to delineate cultural and contextual factors associated with sexual initiation and sexual risk among ethnically diverse Black adolescents.

Project SMART (Supporting Minority Adolescent Research Training): A needs assessment which will be used to inform the development of a curriculum designed to expose racial and ethnic minority high school students to behavioral careers in health research.

Co-Investigator:
HIV Testing Study: A multi-site CDC funded study to identify perceptions of HIV and HIV risk, ascertain attitudes toward HIV testing, identify barriers to the utilization of HIV testing and other health services, and determine strategies to increase HIV testing among low-income heterosexual young adult Black Americans.
