OPTIMIZING STRATEGIES TO PROVIDE STD PARTNER SERVICES

The Optimizing Strategies to Provide STD Partner Services is a four-year randomized controlled trial designed to evaluate an intervention to promote partner notification among Brooklyn residents presenting for bacterial STDs such as Chlamydia or gonorrhea. The intervention target factors that influence both the index patient's motivation and ability to notify partners, and assists him/her in methods to improve the health care seeking behaviors of their partners. Funding for the study is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
