A community's voice holds as much weight as government, corporate or academia for each is dependent on the other. Although these social interests have expressed mutual concerns about the overall health of our nation, unequal treatment of racial and ethnic minority groups continues. Minorities are not joining the ranks as future health professionals to the degree that they are represented in the US.
