Seminar Raises Awareness of Women's Unique Financial Challenges!

Bendo, MD, MS On Wednesday, July 11th, 43 smart women attended For Women Only - Financial Planning for Smart Women -- an informative and well-received seminar presented by Downstate's own Dr. Audrée Bendo, Professor and Executive Vice Chair of Anesthesiology. The seminar explored the special challenges women face when prudently planning for their financial future -- particularly as regards their retirement years. Dr. Bendo's compelling presentation interwove revealing national statistics with illustrative anecdotes harvested from her personal financial planning experiences. Attendees described the seminar as: A spirited Q&A session followed, punctuated with insightful commentary from Planned Giving Advisory Board chair, Dr. James E. Cottrell.
