Vending MachinesThe Faculty Student Association (FSA) completed an extensive vending machine service bidding process in Fall 2011 that has resulted in a new successful bidder, Canteen Vending. Canteen has a long history of providing quality vending services and will be upgrading all vending equipment at DMC. Replacement of the prior vendors old vending machines will take place during the low volume holiday period starting on Tuesday December 27th, 2011. Once all machines have been transitioned from the current vending provider to Canteen, all locations will then be thoroughly reviewed for any needed additional installation work, such as floor tile replacements and soffit installations. While the new vending program does bring modest consumer price increases in line with current vending marketplace, the new vending machines will soon be integrated with a new DMC eCommerce system whereby purchases made with a new DownstateCard (DCard) will be discounted. DCard holders wil be eligible to open a DCard Debit account for declining balance purchases at all DMC retail locations. More detailed information will be forthcoming as the DMC Information Services and State Contracts departments are in final stages of implementing that new eCommerce System. We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter during the transition and I may be reached at 718-270-4163 with questions or concerns.
