Temitope Jose, MD
Department of Family Medicine
Dr. Temitope Jose joined SUNY Downstate's Department of Pediatrics in 2004 as Assistant Professor and also became affiliated with the Department of Family Medicine by joining the physician staff at Family Health Services to care for children and adolescents. Since 2006, he has also served as co-director of the Pediatric Lecture Series for the Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Jose's chief research interests are postpartum depression and childhood obesity.
Dr. Jose graduated Magna cum Laude from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education (City College of New York) in 1999. He then attended the New York University School of Medicine, which awarded him the Doctor of Medicine degree in 2001. Dr. Jose remained at NYU until 2004 to complete residency education in Pediatrics. He also became Board-certified in pediatrics in 2004.
Dr. Jose is fluent in English and Spanish, as well as conversant in French and Creole.
