Visiting Medical Students
Fourth year medical students US Medical Schools interested in our Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine Residency programs are encouraged to apply to one of our several elective rotations. The rotating student will work with attending faculty as well as current emergency medicine residents. Applicants must be in good academic standing at their parent school, must have their school's approval to participate in the desired elective, and must have liability insurance coverage. All visiting US medical school students and US Osteopathic medical students apply through VSAS. Generally, the medical school begins processing of visiting student applications in late May. Additional requirements for students applying for an EM elective:
- the USMLE Step 1 scores, either uploaded or within CV.
Please note, we do not offer the research elective for visiting students.
