NYC Skyline Established in 1992, the Department of Emergency Medicine is comprised of a team of dedicated physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals committed to providing medical care to the rich diversity of people in Brooklyn, New York.

The Brooklyn Healthcare Improvement Project
Brooklyn Healthcare Improvement Project (B-HIP) is a community health planning body, comprised of hospitals, insurance companies, community practices, universities, government offices, and pharmaceutical companies, that strives to ensure affordable, quality, and timely care for all residents in Northern and Central Brooklyn.  Our coalition is researching current issues surrounding primary care access, avoidable hospital admissions, and emergency department use.  Our mission is to improve the wellness of our population by addressing access, quality, and cost-effectiveness of health care in Northern and Central Brooklyn.
