MS3 elective for students exploring EM as a career option. Students are paired with a few select faculty for a limited number of shifts and given opportunities to experience various sub-specialties within the field of emergency medicine. Areas of rotation/shifts may include toxicology, ultrasound, disaster medicine, international medicine and Veteran’s Hospital (VA) and a free standing Urgent Care Center. The student will have an opportunity to attend departmental lectures and weekly tape reading sessions presented by the Emergency Ultrasound Division.. This course may be helpful if you are entertaining EM as a career and want to know if you should take the Clerkship in the MS3 Second semester.
