SUNY Downstate Department of Dermatology
The Department of Dermatology at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center is currently accepting applications for the 2015 residency match. Our program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®) and the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
Selection is determined by a number of factors, including academic achievement, USMLE Step 1 and 2 scores, clinical competence, potential academic career, and personal attributes. When your application is completed and all supporting documents are received, your file will be reviewed by our Residency Selection Committee.
Interviews are by invitation only. Candidates will be notified by e-mail during the month of December 2013 and January 2014. Interviews will be conducted on selected Wednesdays during the months of December and January.
SUNY Downstate does not sponsor J-1 or H-1B visa.
A one year of ACGME approved post graduate training in the United States must be completed prior to starting dermatology residency. The year must include four months from one of the following: Medicine, Surgery, OB/Gyn, or Pediatrics.
