Stefan Bradu, MD, PhD, FAAD

Dr. Bradu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (2005, 2014) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from SUNY- Downstate Medical Center (BA/MD Honors Program). Dr. Bradu completed his Medicine internship at Winthrop University Hospital, and was fortunate to have outstanding Dermatology teachers during his Dermatology residency at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center.

Dr. Bradu takes particular pride in teaching Clinical Dermatology to the Dermatology residents at SUNY Downstate and NYU School of Medicine. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at both institutions. Dr. Bradu received the "Part-Time Attending of the Year 2014" Award from the New York University Dermatology Residents "in appreciation of outstanding teaching and selfless dedication" at the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System. He also works in private practice in Forest Hills and Long Island. Hippocrates best summarized Dr. Bradu's philosophy of patient care in 400 BC: "Wherever the art of medicine is respected, there is also respect for humanity."

He holds a PhD in Anatomy and Molecular Cell Biology in addition to two international patents with promising implications for the diagnosis and treatment of human cancer. Dr. Bradu has collaborated with various prestigious medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and biotech institutions. His research was recognized with the William Montagna Award for Research Excellence in Cutaneous Biology (2001) and with the 2nd Prize at the New York Academy of Medicine Research Night (Section on Dermatology, 2004).

Dr. Bradu has presented his clinical and scientific work at regional and international conferences. The focus of his research has been on the development and testing of anti-cancer, anti-aging, & anti-oxidant agents and technologies. His current research interests include the development of new methods to modulate and optimize personal facial expressions of human mental states with minimally invasive aesthetic and reconstructive procedures.
