Electron and Light Microscopy Facility
The Morphology Core Facility (MCF), a component of The Department of Cell Biology at Downstate Medical Center, is a multi-user and service facility. The Facility is equipped for ultra-structural research. Equipment includes a JEOL JEM-100C High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope and an LKB Ultra Microtome. The Facility is open to the Downstate Community as well as outside users. The instruments and technical service are available on a 'fee-for-service' basis. Clients can be trained in specimen preparation and use of the instruments, or can request assistance from the MCF staff.
