Emergency Department
The Emergency Committee's overall focus is to design and administer studies at partner hospitals to examine reasons for overcrowding in emergency departments. The will make recommendations from the findings of their board approved, evidence based studies.
Their objectives are to:
Examine clinical provider attitudes towards patients (link to ER project)
Discover reasons for non-trauma patients visits to the ER
The Insurance Committee's overall focus is on evaluating insurance coverage issues and their impact on health systems, both use and access. They are creating an inventory of insurance data that will be analyzed in order to inform on the relevant issues.
Their objectives are to:
Create a Data Source Inventory of local health infrastructure
Evaluate Insurance Coverage Impact
Make recommendations based on established benchmarks
The Community Health Planning Partnership/GIS Workgroup's overall focus is to identify community leaders and create a network. In addition, this subcommittee will build a unique Geographic Information System (GIS) from collected data and make recommendations using the conclusions of the analyzed information.
Their objectives are to:
Identify and build a network of community leaders
