Dr. Ostrow's current rank is Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology. He also holds the title of Director of Undergraduate Education within the Department of Radiology.
May 1979 - Graduated magna cum laude from Brown University, Providence, R.I., B.A. in Biology and History.
May 1983 - MD from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, N.Y., N.Y.
1983-84 - Transitional Internship at Hackensack Medical Center
1984-88 - Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at SUNY-Kings County Hospital Center
1987 - Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology
1991 - Joined the faculty of the Department of Radiology, SUNY Downstate College of Medicine
1995 - named Director of Undergraduate Radiology Education
1997 - joint appointment to the faculty of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology in recognition of his ongoing efforts teaching radiologic anatomy in the first year medical school curriculum.
1998 - Selected "Outstanding Educator of the Year of the Clinical Faculty" by the graduating class of the College of Medicine here at SUNY Downstate.
2000 - Elected to Faculty Membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Eta Chapter of New York.
2001 - Named "Teacher of the Year" by the College of Medicine Class of 2003.
2002 - Selected "Outstanding Educator of the Year of the Clinical Faculty" by the graduating class of the College of Medicine here at SUNY Downstate.
2005 - Promoted to Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology.
