Established in 1880, the Alumni Association's mission has always been to promote the interests and improve the effectiveness of the College, to foster fellowship among our alumni, provide financial support and mentoring services for our medical students and enhance opportunities to network. The Sesquicentennial of the College of Medicine was held Friday May 21, 2010. As part of the celebration, a symposium was held and a publication produced that highlighted the magnificent achievements and medical contributions of both faculty and alumni over the school's illustrious history. We thank Martin J. Salwen, MD '57 (Past President and Past Chairman of the Alumni Association and Alumni Fund) for his work as editor of the publication and the coordinator of this symposium.
