Alumni Association - College of Medicine

Leaving a legacy to the Alumni Association speaks to your belief in providing an affordable, excellent medical education for Downstate students. Bequest gifts have been a significant source of support for many student programs. Alumni make planned gifts as a way of "giving back" and to allow others to have the same opportunities that they were afforded. Legacies make important statements about who we are and what we believe.

Legacies can be provided in many ways:

• Including The Alumni Association -College of Medicine, SUNY Downstate in your will.
• Making a life income gift naming The Alumni Association-College of Medicine SUNY Downstate as the remainderman.
• Naming The Alumni Association-College of Medicine, SUNY Downstate as the beneficiary of a bank account, an insurance policy or your IRA or KEOGH (Qualified retirement plans are particularly tax-advantaged assets to leave to the Alumni Association -College of Medicine).
