July, 2011: Time to Celebrate!

            Why not offer your friends and family a massage? What would July be without barbeques and picnics and fireworks celebrations? All of July, we need to be aware of fireworks around us and of safety issues. It’s hard not to want to celebrate with them on our nation’s birthday but it’s usually better to leave such up to experts and to view from a safe distance. Too many adults and youths are injured annually this time of year when trying to utilize fireworks – sometimes with drastic results such as eye or hand injuries that debilitate for life. Finally, July 1-7 is Clean Beaches Week (www.cleanbeaches.com ). Some of the world’s cleanest beaches are cited annually – and nearly always there is one in the NY area (such as the Hamptons). Let’s be well by being safe, by seeking happiness and health for ourselves, coworkers and loved ones, and by enjoying ourselves this July!
