Clinical Practice:

  • 10 years of current clinical PA experience in Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care & Primary Care/HIV Medicine.
  • Serves a clinical preceptor to physician assistant, nurse practitioner, and medical students.
  • Interest in research and has authored several publications in The Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and ADVANCED for NPs and PAs.


  • Principal faculty of the SUNY Downstate Medical Center Physician Assistant Program.
  • Instruction in Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Physical Diagnosis, Adult Primary Care Medicine, Psychiatry, OB/GYN, Geriatrics, Clinical Decision Making, Independent Studies and team instruction in Clinical Procedures/ Skills.
  • Assisting with student admissions, student mentorship and advisement, and participating in college and campus-wide committees.  She also contributes to the program's continuous self-assessment and accreditation process.
  • Serves as the Program Coordinator for the HIV Track Program for Physician Assistant Students working in collaboration with the Special Treatment and Research (STAR) faculty and staff to refine PA HIV didactic and clinical curricula, provided clinical preceptorship for HIV Track PA students, and provides direct HIV patient care in the STAR Health Center.
