Professor Ohl's expertise is in school-based practice, with an emphasis on evaluation. She earned her Master's degree in occupational therapy from Ithaca College, and her Doctoral degree in occupational therapy at New York University. Professor Ohl teaches Introduction to Therapeutic Occupations and Developmental Assessment and assists in Palpation, Kinesiology, and Assistive Technology Labs. Her doctoral research was on personal space and friendship in Asperger and neurotypical adolescents. Professor Ohl's other research interests include: Occupational therapy consultation services under the response to intervention (RtI) framework and employment of individuals with high-functioning autism.
