Medical Informatics Program

Advising and Registration

Upon admission into the program, each student is assigned a faculty advisor. The faculty advisor should be consulted each semester prior to course selection and registration. Each student should make an appointment to meet his/her advisor at least once each semester.

Information about registration for continuing students will be forwarded to the students by the registrar via email. Most of the courses offered by the Medical Informatics program require completion of prerequisite courses and/or permission of the program Chair. It is important to check the prerequisite(s) before planning to register for a course. During the pre-registration period, the student will meet with his/her assigned faculty advisor for selection of courses. Subsequently, students will register online using the Banner portal system.
