Clinical Practice:
Currently practices as a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant. Has over 14 years of clinical PA experience in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Primary and Neurosurgery. Presently serves as the Chief PA in the Neurosurgery Department at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. Research and community services interests include Community Health and Brain Injury Prevention. Other interests include the History of Medicine, Bioethical Issues in the Practice of Medicine and Professional issues in PA Practice.
Responsibilities:
The Acting Associate Program Chairperson assists the Program Chairperson in all aspects of program management, including planning and evaluation and provides program leadership and management in her absence. Additional responsibilities includes oversight of the clinical curriculum, coordination of student learning activities including clinical supervision of students, principal classroom instruction in Clinical Decision Making, Neuroanatomy, Independent Studies and team instruction in Physical Diagnosis, Adult Primary Care Medicine, and Clinical Procedures/Skills, Issues of Professional Practice and clinical coordination of students during the senior year. Also participates in student admissions, mentorship and student advisement and on college-wide committees.
