The Occupational Therapy Program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center provides an exceptional graduate level education to students preparing to enter the occupational therapy profession. Watch the video to hear from students, faculty and alumni about their experiences.

Program Highlights

  • Our innovative curriculum includes didactic learning, active lab experiences, clinical field work, community practice and research opportunities.
  • The Early Intervention Specialization Program (EISP) provides scholarships and training for current SUNY Downstate occupational therapy students who seek specialized skills in providing family-centered services to infants and young children.
  • Our annual Review Course for the national certification course for occupational therapists is offered in January each year, and is open to all registrants.
  • We offer monthly Information Sessions for prospective applicants. All are welcome to register.
