Assistant Professor

Professor Ohl's expertise is in school-based practice, with an emphasis on evaluation. She earned her Master's degree in occupational therapy from Ithaca College, and is a doctoral candidate in the occupational therapy department at New York University. Professor Ohl teaches Introduction to Therapeutic Occupations and Developmental Assessment and assists in Palpation, Kinesiology, and Assistive Technology Labs. Her doctoral research is on the relationship between personal space and friendship in Asperger and neurotypical adolescents. Professor Ohl's other research interests include: Occupational therapy consultation services under the response to intervention (RtI) framework, employment of individuals with high-functioning autism, and social participation.
