Department of AnesthesiologyFrom the Chairman
Diversity and complexity characterize our program. Interesting? You bet! Do we provide advanced service to our community, with subspecialties? Yes… we have them all, plus some – like transplant and trauma. Helping to close your first tracheoesophageal fistula is exciting, but by your fifth procedure, you'll be ready help correct a tetralogy of Fallot, or do a celiac plexus block in the Pain Clinic. And when you're ready, our Fellowship training in Critical Care is excellent. Time for fun? No problem! Each area of Brooklyn has unique offerings – The Rockaways for beach and water sports, downtown for the opera and ballet… and the Brooklyn Museum has a greater collection than almost any museum in the world (except for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is only minutes away in Manhattan). You can eat at the River Café, stroll on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, pretend you're in Russia at Brighton Beach, ride the Cyclone at Coney Island, and get married at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Come see what we have to offer. James E. Cottrell, M.D. |
